Misleading job status

Post by koolnitz »

Hi,

In Director, one of my jobs shows status as 'Finished'. When I open the log I find lotsa Fatal messages. I was under impression that if the log has even a single Fatal, the status of the job would become 'Aborted'.

Any explanations?

Thanks in advance!

Clearly your impression does not hold for parallel jobs. (It is correct, as far as I am aware, for server jobs.)

What we consider as fatal sometimes is just another warning. It is misleading.

Hey Nitin,

I am facing a similar issue in my project.
The situation here is when I run the job then one or more stage in the job finish with and unknown status. As result we cannot see the logs.

Wondering if i can get a solution to this isse.

I predict that IBM will tell you that you are applying server job thinking to parallel job processing, and leave it at that.
