Inserting specific column in Teradata Enterprise edition

Hi All,

I am trying to insert specific column in Teradata Enterpise edition. For the same I am using the option "Select list" under "Target" option.

Even the DataStage help also suggest that one can use "Select list" option to insert only specific columns.

But when I try to do the same, I am getting the following error

"
INSERT INTO ds_work.temp_b (name) SELECT * FROM ORCH_WORK_d20d286'. Error Code = 3812
"

I would be very grateful if any one could please let me know if it's possible to insert specific columns using Teradata Enterpise edition and if yes then the way to do the same?
