the client connection breaks with UTF-8 Setting

Post by koti9 »

Hi all,

Did anyone know the predefined set of causes, of why the client connection breaks by just changing a setting like NLS Map or any other setting. (Note: we have "Do Not Timeout" checked).

Thanks in advance

Any chance you can supply more info?
Like what client/DB/source are in question + version
I must say this post is a bit to general to address.
If you have more relevant info that might shed light on your situation feel free to add it as well.

Hi roy,

Here is the info.

client ver: DS EE 7.5.1a
DB2: DB2 8.2.3 using DB2 API Stage.
It is breaking the connection whenever i set the NLS Map to UTF-8 and giving me 81002 error.

Thanks in advance

Looks like it might be a bug. What does your support provider have to say?
