Error running sequence

Post by bala_135 »

Hi,

When i run the sequence i am having a error.
My os is Windows XP.anyting can be done to solve this.
I am not getting any error for other jobs.
main_program: **** Parallel startup failed ****
This is usually due to a configuration error, such as
not having the Orchestrate install directory properly
mounted on all nodes, rsh permissions not correctly
set (via /etc/hosts.equiv or .rhosts), or running from
a directory that is not mounted on all nodes. Look for
error messages in the preceding output.

Regards,
Bala.

The error is not in your sequence, but in one the PX jobs which it calls. Can you isolate that job? Can you run any PX jobs at all? If not, then the error message is most likely accurate and you need to look at the setup on your remote (presumably the database) machine. Can you rsh as that user to the nodes defined in your APT_CONFIG file?

What exact version of DataStage are you using? Unless it is 7.5x2 you can not expect any success at all. Even that version is not officially supported on Windows XP as the server. Do you have the DataStage patch needed for XP service pack 2?

This is not the same as 7.5x2. Check with your vendor or support provider.

Do you see any warnings pointing to a particular job?
