Teradata Open/Close Command Issue

Hi,
If I have a simple command in the open or close command in the TDE stage , the job aborts with :Parallel job reports failure (code 139):

Insert into table1 (abc) values ('drf')

The main query has different table,
select name1 from customer


I tried to use the insert command in the ODBC EE stage and it works fine with SQL tables!

Is there any thing specifc we need to do when working with Teradata, the job works fine if I remove the command from the open options.
