Datastage with SAS 9.1.3

Hi !

We are trying to connect to SAS 9.1.3.

We were told that to connect to SAS, the datastage server and the SAS server have to be in the same machine.

I am not totally sure that this is true.

We have an existing datastage server which, ideally, we would like to make use to create jobs. But installation of SAS on the same box would be a big problem.

Are there any alternatives ?

Hi Nagesh,
SAS Integration pack is a separately licensed pack. When the DataStage server EE is installed, it will ask for the authorization code for the SAS Integration pack. I looked the installation guide; it does not say anything about SAS server has to be installed on the same machine as DataStage server resides.
I wish we had the SAS Integration pack. SAS is so powerful!
