NLS Lang

Post by evanmaas »

I get the following warning in Director:

main_program: An NLS map <ISO-8859-1> is specified, but NLS_LANG is not set. The NLS map must be set to an ICU codepage which is equivalent to the character set specified by NLS_LANG

Where can I set NLS_LANG? Nort found in Administrator
Which NLS map have ICU codepage?
Can you set the NLS to NONE? In server you can.

Regards,

Erik

NLS_LANG is an environment variable.

Control Panel, System applet, Environment

You need to reboot after you've changed anything here in order for the changes to take effect.

Hexa,

the language you set depends upon your database and environment - there is no one answer. The most common in the US is "AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8 " but that might not be correct for you.

Hexa,

no, you won't get "any solution" from me - you haven't told us where you are, what your database NLS setting is (and what it is), what your character set is and what language you are working in. So how do you expect to get an answer? The original poster specified both his location and character set so it would have been possible to make a recommendation.
