About Datastage XE

Post by Bilwakunj »

Hello,
I know that Parallel Extender is also known as PX or DataStage Enterprise edition is same as PX. But I would like to know does the DataStage XE represents the DataStage Mainframe i.e. DataStage 390?

Thanks !!

Nope... DataStage XE is the 'official' abbreviation for the Extended Edition. From what I recall, it contains just the Server product and MetaStage. I'm not sure they market that particular flavor of the product anymore.

And actually "PX" is part of the Enterprise Edition, not the sum total of it.

DataStage 390 is called simply that, I believe.

DataStage 390 was renamed DataStage EE MVS and was then renamed IBM Websphere DataStage EE MVS Edition
