Cleanup Resource Option NOT ENABLED

The Cleanup Resource option in my director is disabled - ALWAYS. If a job hangs I am having no other option but to restart the server.

Can you plz let me know what could be the reason for the option not getting enabled and how to overcome this.

Have you enabled the 'Enable job administration in Director' option in the Adminstrator for the project(s) in question? If you haven't, that would be the primary reason why they would always be greyed out.

It is a property of each project, by the way, along with things like auto-purge of log defaults.

chulett is correct with the answer. But may I add that restarting the server is so drastic of a solution.....go to your DataStage Administrator who has the option to unlock and remove processes before you restart...
