Jobs Import in PX

Post by dsedi »

Hello Everybody!

Is there any ways to do the Import of DS Parallel Jobs
other then using Ds Manager?
(for Example using any command line options...etc...)

Thanks in advance.

Sure, you answered your own question. Read the manuals under your Start button, they cover how to use the dscmdimport and dscmdexport programs on your client PC for doing just that. Search the forum, you'll see lots of .bat files and commentary on automating it.

Do you mean after you un-protect the project? Yes. While protected? No, hence that 'Protected' part.

You seem to be dancing around and not specifying what problem you are attempting to handle. Share some more info??

I am sorry Kenneth!

Recently Our Project on QA box was protected.
and if i need to do a small change in any of my job, then i am going thru lot of approvel process by the people know "nothing" about what we are doing :-)

so my Q was, Is there any way to do the import into a protected project?
and I understand from you the answer is NO....

Correct?

Thanks very much!, Edi

But for some reason your company seems to think these people need to bless your promotions into the QA environment.

-+- sigh -+-

So what you are asking is for a way to bypass the Protected project state and sneak some changes in, if you don't have the correct permissions for doing so.

Well, one thinks you might be enterprising and figure out a way to "break" the security measures. I don't think you can, but sometimes the answers even simpler. Something like compiling it in dev and moving over the binaries with ftp...
