After having installed DS 7.1r2 while running parallel jobs we have been getting the following warning persistently:
Failed to connect to JobMonApp on port 13401
Is it the APT_NO_JOBMON variable that has to be set to NO...if so do i do set in the dsenv file?
Thanx in advance

Hi,
As far as I recall you might need a fix for the job monitor or manually run it.
Contact your support.
You can search the exact 2 or 3 posts here regarding this but ikt won't get you the fix files you need.

If the above warning message is your concerned then it is sure the Job Monitor in the server is not up.
May be you have shut down DS Server , after it is on , the Job Monitor has not started automatically.
You need to start your Job Monitor manually.

If it shows that error, it's not on. Try looking for the JobMon process on the O/S. You can manually stop the JobMon without stopping the engine by using jobmoninit (located in /PXEngine/java). The commands take a stop or start argument (with no dash). If you still can't get it started or stopped manually, check the log in that directory (JobMonApp.log) for errors.
