export and edit datastage job
I do not know why you want to copy job property instead of saving the job as template as use template anywhere you like.
If you really want to do it, yo can expport both jobs as dsx file and open it in Ultraedit.
you can copy and paste just like word document then import back into datastage.

If you haven't created the other job yet, you can use File > Save As.
There are no utilities within the product for copying job properties between jobs. Stages you can copy and paste (in the same client), but job properties you can not.
That's probably the strongest argument for using Templates at their current state of development.
However... if it's parameters you're asking about, then have we got a deal for you: Parameter Manager for DataStage! Take a look - even download an evaluation copy. Brought to you by the good folks who host this site.
