Job monitor application is not running on this port. You need to start the JobMonapp and search the forum to get info abt how to restart this jobmonapp.
May I ask what UNIX do you use? And one more question : do you have DataStage installed with user "dsadm" or "root"? We had that kind of troubles on HP-UX with installations done using "dsadm".
You can go check the JobMonApp log file in ../PXENgine/java in order to see error messages. That may help you.

We are also having the same issues with jobmonapp. We just opened a ticket to find out what causes the jobmon to stop at the first place. I will let you know when I find this out.
