Advantage of business rule stage over transformer stage

Hi everybody,

I am new to Datastage

I am working in this project with Mainframe jobs and not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question

Am not sure when to use Business Rule Stage and when the transformer stage?

Can someone help me with this?
