less amount of procesors than license includes
Hi,
Do you have any experiance with DataStage EE installation on machine with less amount of procesors than license includes?
It means if we have licence on 12 processors can we install DataStage on 4 processors machine?
And the second case:
Can we install two DataStage EE server on one Unix machine?
Can we dedicate a logical partition for every of them?
If you have any better knowledge then I have, please write what do you think about it?

You can install DataStage EE on a machine with fewer CPUs than you have licensed. The others will show up as "spare" in the Adminstrator's licensing information.
I do not know about installing two DataStage servers on one machine, even on different logical partitions. Apart from any legal questions (are two logical machines two machines in law?) you would need to be very careful with shared memory keys. The fact that there is only one /.dshome file might thwart you from having them both running at the same time.

And next issue:
I believe that you can give me the answer
If I have one DataStage EE server on 8 CPUs machine.
Can i separate developer and production environment?
But it doesn't mean that I want create two insulation projects.
I wonder about solutions where developer will be using different CPUs than user in procuction environment.

these are issues that we cannot really give an answer to here; it is up to your Ascential Rep. to clear this up with you. Whether or not something can technically be done doesn't mean that we are allowed to do so.

You will, at the very least, get warnings if you try to install a 4 CPU licence on an 8 CPU machine. It may not install at all, depending on the version number.
