How to delete a job when I get the error...

Post by cbres00 »

"Job xxx is being accessed by another user."

I'm the only user on DS at this time, and I am the owner of that job.

The job is NOT being used.

Help!

cbres00,

as Chalasaniamith suggested, make sure that you exit all known users to see if the locks get cleared. You don't need to go to the extreme of "bouncing" DataStage though, you can use the cleanup resources tab in the Director (should it be enabled, which is not default) or in the Administrator to see which processes have locks and to get rid of them. The procedure is in the documentation or if you search on "cleanup resources" in this forum you will find several posts which describe in detail how to identify which locks to remove.
