Enterprise Edition for Windows

Post by vmcburney »

I've installed an evaluation version of DataStage 7.5X2 on a Windows computer. I'm under a non-disclosure agreement however I can tell you that it comes with a guide called "Enterprise Edition for Windows Guide". Say hello to parallel jobs on windows.

Try to reign in the excitement.

Also noticed the install CD still has XML Pack 1.0 on it. Since this was superceded over a year ago by pack 2.0 you think they would be sending the right version out.

XML Pack 2 is part of the server side RTI install ;)
(I guess your looking at the client install software?)

Fun isn't it? How cute it is to require w2k3 for the server side, yet require XP for the client side...

Guess they don't want us to do it all on the same box. :P

You need to contact Ascential directly. It can be hard to get software from them unless you are looking to buy it or sell it or you have an alliance with them.

I'm running parallel jobs on a Windows 2000 laptop without a lot of RAM and it was easy to install and configure.
