change capture

Hi All,

I am using the Change Capture stage to get insert/edit/delete rows comparing one table to another.

Change codes: Insert=1, Delete=2, Edit=3.

Here is one result which is baffling me.

1 new row, from 1st table(before data set) + 0 rows from 2nd table(after data set), change_code=2 (considers as delete)

Text in Change capture says:

"Value for the change code column in the change record for the delete result. A delete means that a row in the before data set must be deleted to produce the after data set."

Is this how this stage works ?

A bit confused here...can someone help me out a bit?

The terms are based on the After dataset.

Is the record New, Changed, Unchanged, or Deleted on the After dataset?
