Environment variable to connect to Oracle

Post by Jay »

Hi All,

I am getting the following error.

Oracle_217.DSLink203: Error when checking operator: connect failed for env: , user: *****, password: *****
Oracle error: -1034
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
SVR4 Error: 2: No such file or directory

I have done some R&D on this.

I can connect and insert to the table from a Server job.
But i am unable to do the same in PX 6.0

So i think there is some problem in the configuration of the PXEngine.
Is there an operating system variable in PX 6.0 connecting the unix box(Sun Solaris 5.8) to the Oracle 9i instance.

Thanks in advance
Jay
