IBM Infosphere Data Architect

Post by rahulmln »

We are planning to use Rapid Modeler and Rapid Generator for SAP Applications in out project.

But I am not sure how to go ahead with it.

I have read in one of the technote that we have to use IBM Infosphere Data Architect.

Do we have to install only client to access it and we will import the metadata and use the metadata using the Rapid generator to create Datastage jobs?

Or configuring Data Architect will require server side changes as well.

Please help.

Hi - Data Architect is an Eclipse based GUI which you need to install to the client machine and hook up it to your repository and data sources to build Data Model. And then InfoSphere Rapid Generator for SAP Applications is a wizard that generates DataStage jobs that extract and load data from and to SAP from a physical data model in InfoSphere Data Architect.

There is no server installation required.
