Hi

I would like know more about Workload management.

what is main use of workload management ?


Can you please someone point me and also any one enabled workload management in Production ?

What resource management software are you using? PBS Pro, IBM LoadLeveler, or SUN Grid Engine?
Basically the main use of any workload management software is to do the queuing, scheduling, and monitoring the system resources and enforcing the usage policy.
I love to use the PBS Pro; especially its Job Accounting feature that enables me to do the charge-back and usage analysis easily. Yes, my PBS Pro was running great in all environments, DEV, QA, PROD.
I bet that your shop is definitely using IBM's LoadLeveler. IBM has great Sales Team.

DataStage 9.x and later has its own, inbuilt, workload manager.
