Hi,

We are trying to Import bunch jobs from DataStage version 8.5 to version 9.1.

But the Import failed with error - " Not attached to a job" for job designs.
Similarly it throws an error - " Class=DSRECORD " for job executables.

Options tried are -

1. Tried changing proxy - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21511794
2. Tried importing only jobs
3. Tried importing only executables

None of the approach were fruitful. Can kindly some-one suggest what would be the possible issue ?

You are going from one release to another. Do not import the executable, that's a major reason behind the migration. Once the designs are imported, you'll have to do a mass compile.


Export 1 Job with design only, do not include associated objects (I forget the terminology off the top of my head).

switch to your 9.1 designer client.

import the dsx.

post any failures you may have back to us.

Tried with Importing a single Job without executables and dependent objects.

Same error - " Not Attached to a Job".

Bit worried thinking we have to re-design in DS9.1

Try via the IS manager tool to make an isx file.

Not a cure by any means, but just more info to provide IBM when you open that PMR.
