Ernie,

We're on 8.5 Server Edition FP1 on Linux and our Metadata Repository is on Oracle 11.2.

What we are trying to do is delete out the Operational Metadata older than a year. Thanks for your pointer - I was able to research online and find "istool deletecm". Is this the one I should use? I can't seem to find syntax or examples on how to use this. Would be helpful if you could throw more light on this.

Thanks! Appreciate it!

In 8.5 it is not via istool.... if memory serves, you will find a purfe omd script in /AsbNode/bin Cant remember its exact name but I recall it being fairly clear by the name.......issue it without args or with -help and it will show the syntax.

11.3 users will find it as..... istool workbench purgeOMD

.....dont use deletecm ! That is for deleting common metadata......all tables files columns databases etc.
