Update DSparams file

Hi
we are seeing one strange error while update DSParams file.
we are updating database name and user id and password via Datastage admin. after updating some the DSparamas values has been duplicated if I try to view data from any of the job.
I am not sure is this issue with DSParama file. I have changed DSParams owner and group also.
dsadm:dstage.
