Software can only be downloaded from IBM Passport Advantage site. (That means that you have purchased a licence, and your copy will be legal.)

Only DataStage clients can be installed on Windows 7.

The engine, services and repository tiers can not be installed on Windows 7.

That's the part that let's them know you are a legitimate owner of the software. Find out what yours is.

Note: The IBM PA site will notify the license administrator at the customer site that you've requested access to passport advantage. They will then have to authorize your access.

Because that notification may be somewhat "passive" - in that it may not notify them till the next time they access PA, you might want to contact the license administrator directly and tell them you've requested access.
