Here is the link to the detailed system requirements page:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg27036191

From the look of this, desktop versions of Windows 7 are supported for the client tier (Designer/Director and BGA, but not BG for Eclipse) if you have SP1. And only starting with version 9.1.
Server versions of Windows 7 don't look to be supported at all.

Engine and Services tiers aren't supported on Windows 7, full stop.

Well, then... what changed? Windows update? Other software installed? Are you running anti-virus software on the server? We've seen any one of those things take out a DataStage server on Windows installation.

Can you log in with Administrator client (which uses a different mechanism)?

It's too late to remove your AV software if that is the culprit here. One change you could make is to ensure the directory where DataStage is installed is configured in the software as someplace to not scan. Also check whatever quarantine logs your software keeps to see if it has decided to remove a ddl or some other offending part of DataStage.

If you don't have a System Restore Point or backup to go back to, you may be in a 'complete re-install' situation...
