Datastage server not up - port not listening

Post by Bhusan »

Our datastage server does not come up. The port is not listening to requests. The datastage admin has already stopped and restarted the datastage server. Also reboot the unix server. No luck so far.

Any idea what should we be looking at?

Thanks.

Probably the firewall. One of the port numbers that needs to be open (most likely 31538) may not be.

Second possibility is that the dsrpcd process is not running. Confirm whether or not it's listening using netstat commands.

run dsrpcd -d9 and post the output also do a telnet on dsrpc port to see if there is any firewall issue.
