IIS 8.7 fixpack2

Hi
we are planning to install fp2 on IIS 8.7 on AIX 8.7 and client is on windows.
Since we have more than 100 clients it is not possible to install fixpack2 on clients on the same day .
so the client may have to connect to IIS 8.7 fixpack2 server from IIS base version 8.7 client .
Will this have any adverse effect ?
I didnt find IBM tech notes on this.
So I want to know how to handle fixpack for server and clients are they supposed to be at same level in order access ?
Any thoughts or suggests from your experience ?

Any 8.7 client should be able to connect to 8.7FP2 services/engine. Beyond that, who knows?

While you can connect and work, there are some client changes with 8.7FP2 which are not 100% compatible, specifically when compiling jobs and sequences on a 8.7FP2 client and then editing those jobs on a normal 8.7 client. We had this problem when we tested 8.7FP2 and upgraded clients, then decided to stick with 8.7FP1 and neglected to revert one client.
But if this is just for a short interim period while the clients are being updated then as long as you know that you might get errors and warnings then it should not be an issue, the jobs weren't corrupted.
p.s. It seems that at FP2 the generated job sequence code contains new function calls, and this part of the code generation is done on the client side.

IBM's official customer service stance on this is "It is not recommended to run different fix-pack revisions on the client and the servers."
If the CSR feels the issue you are having might be caused by the different release levels, they will ask you to get to the correct level before proceeding with diagnosis.

Update
IBM said it is not suggested to run client and server on different levels.
If we do so then we may see abnormal error messages.
Usually when a PMR is opened the first step is to compare version.xml files.
so that tells it is mandatory to have client and server on same level..

I see no problem installing 100 clients over the weekend or even over 1 night. by means of a distributed silent install.
Talk with your admin guys, they should be able to get you a distributed install which will let you upgrade 100 clients overnight.

On server I am installing Fixpack 2 .
IIS 8.7 , AIX 6.1 64 bit
we have 1 cpu , 8 gb memory
And Installation is taking more than what is expected.
Usually when I install single patch is will take at max 15 mins .
but fix pack is taking more than 1 hr.
it took 1 hr to copy patch files to the system .
Is it usual ?

usually I install IIS on server using response file
./set -rsp /(path of response file) -uiMode -graphic -verbose.
similars do we have any such method to install fixpack?
