Datastage v 8.7 jobs slow with ops console & autopurge l

Hello Experts,
We are migrating from Datastage 7.5 to Datastage 8.7.
We have this situation where the datastage jobs slow down with autopurge logs turned on and OPS Console turned on( DSODBON=1). Has anyone had similar experiences. Even turning off one of them shows slight improvements but not as good as Datastage 7.5
