How to redeploy a patch

Hi,
I was just curious if there is a way to fake the system out when deploying a patch so it does not find that it has already been applied. We have a few PMR's opened with IBM and for one of them they had us deploy two patches (IMAM and MIB rollup 5 patches). The other PMR asked that we upgrade to FP 2 on version 8.7. Apparently, the FP2 deployment overwrote the RUP 5 patches and IBM asked us to redeploy them. I am waiting back to hear from them but figured someone may know the answer here.

I believe if you use the -force option on the command line when you start the updater it will patch, regardless.
