Clear or delete RT_LOG,RT_STATUS & RT_CONFIG files

Post by mandyli »

Hi

I am not able to import one job into QA server. That job is not present and not able to view from the Datastage Designer but I am seeing RT_CONFIG,RT_STATUS and RT_LOG files from Datastage project folder.
>> ls -ltr RT*488
RT_STATUS488:
total 24
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaa dstage 2048 May 21 20:16 OVER.30
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaa dstage 6144 May 23 13:33 DATA.30

RT_LOG488:
total 72
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaadstage 14336 May 21 20:24 OVER.30
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaadstage 20480 May 23 13:33 DATA.30

RT_CONFIG488:
total 72
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaadstage 24576 May 22 15:19 OVER.30
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaadstage 10240 May 23 13:33 DATA.30

RT_BP488:
total 0

RT_SC488:
total 88
-rwxrwxr-x 1 aaadstage 8522 May 21 20:15 V0S5_Src_extrac_job_AddColumns.trx
-rwxrwxr-x 1 aaadstage 1861 May 21 20:15 V0S41_Src_extrac_job_JobThreshold.trx
-rwxrwxr-x 1 aaadstage 5949 May 21 20:16 V0S5_Src_extrac_job_AddColumns.trx.osh
-rw-rw-r-- 1 aaadstage 9382 May 21 20:16 OshScript.osh
-rwxrwxr-- 1 aaadstage 857 May 21 20:16 OshExecuter.sh
-rwxrwxr-x 1 aaadstage 510 May 21 20:16 V0S41_Src_extrac_job_JobThreshold.trx.osh

So I am planning to clear the RT_CONFIG and other RT_SC files.

Is this correct way ? If yes How to clear/delete this?

Thanks
Man

First confirm that you have the correct job number.

Can you see the job in Director? If so, you can clear the log and status files from there.

You should never clear the config file. This contains the dependencies between the objects in the job.

And you haven't mentioned other files, like RT_BP488, RT_BP488.O, RT_SC488 to name just a few.
