My understanding is that Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is not supported in version 9.1 (this is also true for the XMETA metadata repository). The others remain supported in version 9.1.

Hi ,

But what I can see in the IBM System requirements link for DataStage 9.1, Oracle 10g is not supported. Please clarify on this as we currently have DS 7.5.2 + oracle 10g and we are planning to upgrade DS to 9.1 , so do we need to upgrade DB as well.

Databases (Mandatory)
DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 9.59.710.1
Microsoft SQL Server Datacenter Edition 2008 R2
Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition 20052008
Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition 2008
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 2 Advanced Security option is not supported.

Real Application Clusters (RAC) is supported.

Oracle Database 11g Standard Edition Release 1
Oracle Real Application Clustering (Oracle 11g Release 2)

That certainly looks like Oracle 10g is not on the list.
You could always stand up a Microsoft SQL Server instance at little cost.

Oracle 10g is out of support with Oracle, so you probably want to upgrade your database as well.

Thanks All for your comments.

Upgrading the DB is certainly a plan in the near future . However just wanted to understand if that is a mandate for DS 9.1.

Just to clarify the discussion was about the Repository DB and not the source and target DBs.

Source and Target DBs on Oracle 10g are compatible with DataStage 9.1 ?

Of course.
