Post by Kumar1234 »

Hello All,

Can someone help me with PARAM.INI file documentation which we can use for passing parameters while running the sequence from unix (dsjob command).
I have never used this before.
Thanks...Kumar

PARAM.INI is not part of datastage AFAIK. Are you asking about DSParams file?

Someone who developed the project might have created it to store the parameters to be passed in the project from command line.

No not DSParams file. I think Param.ini will just contain the list of parameters used in a sequence and subsequent jobs. But I want to understand how does that file look and how the encryption parameters handled inside that.
Thanks...Kumar

Param.ini is not part of DataStage either. So it's been created in-house at your site, and that is where your search for documentation must begin.
