I am not able to compile any jobs. When I try the hourglass come up and then after a few seconds goes away.

Force compile is also the same.

I was able to compile jobs a few days ago

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated

What has changed on your Engine server since "a few days ago"?

Nothing that I know of.

Then I suggest you need to undertake a bit more detective work. Clearly something has changed. Does compilation throw any error message? Does the status of the job in Director change?

Are you getting any core dumps in your project directory or perhaps on the client side?

Did you validate that your client code Version.xml matches the version of your server Version.xml?

Do other aspects of your setup not work?

Can you run a job with the same ID credentials you are trying to compile with?

The job does not throw any error and the status in the director does not change. I will try to do some more checking and post the results.

I can run a job which is compiled with the same credentials. I will check on the dumps and the xml

Thanks

Can you compile a parallel job that does not have a Transformer stage? If so, your C++ compiler licensing may have expired.

I also cannot compile a job without a transformer. It behaves the same just an hourglass and then it goes away.

My problem just went away.
I can now compile the jobs, I do not know why this happened.

Thanks to everyone who helped me.

Your prob will come back.

Perhaps you should monitor your drive space. Permissions on mounts might also be suspect. We've had NSF / NAS mounts go whacky on us in the past...

Nice to see you up and running... but I fear you'll have the issue again.
