how to connect oracleDB on AT&T servers from AIX servers

Hi Friends,
Can some one help me please...
I want to connect to oracle Database which is installed on AT&T server from datastage(which is on AIX servers)

Actually I need information like, what all the tasks needed from ETL end for connecting to external oracle istalled on AT&T servers

Install Oracle client on the DataStage server.
Configure Oracle client to "see" the database instance.
Done.

Important : Make sure the firewall is open on port 1521 between your ETL Server and Oracle DB Server.
