Hi,

We have Datastage 8.7 on Windows Server 2008 and we are exploring Operations Console..

Is it correct that it can enable us to get statistics like link row counts (basically table inserts/updates/deletes per link) for each job and also run times, like start and end time for the jobs?

Also does this impact Performance in any way, if this is enabled and running?

Has anyone has success querying this tables and can provide any information and guidance?

Thanks,
NV

I had a hands-on demo for OC at IOD 2012. It is a vast improvement.

You can find the manual (pdf) for this at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg27022092 (search on "Operations Console")

Tons of excellent tech articles on IBM developer works pages.

We are planning to get started with Operations Console at the earliest. We recently installed 8.7 and have completed a tedious migration from 7.51A.

The page above illutrates CPU overhead associated with gathering the operational metadata in real time/near real time -something that you would be interested in.

Follow up : We've succesfully configured Operations Console . Our database is newly created on the metadata server. From the looks of it - I think is a really great new feature from v 8.7 onwards.
