Read only access in DS v7.5

Hi All

Currently, the production environment user id has change permissions to Designer jobs and execute permissions for running jobs from director.

Is there any way through which the user id could be restricted to a read only access to designer but still could execute the jobs ?

If i remember correctly, i did work on a read only platform but that was v8.1. Not sure for v7.5.3

Any help would be appreciated.

Not using roles. In your future there is a Super Operator role, which behaves exactly as you describe.

You can probably use file system permissions, for example making DS_JOBS and DS_JOBOBJECTS read-only for that user.

(Actually it might be worth checking whether the Super Operator role was back ported to version 7.5.3 - I have no way of verifying that at the moment.)
