Moving the metadata database,... how?

Post by PaulS »

As part of a recent project, we installed datastage 8.5 and used an oracle 11g database for the metadata tier. The DS installation and the database are on seperate servers.

As part of another project, we putting in new infrasture for the database server. I'd like to do as minimal as possible to DS install, which would mean moving the metadata repository DB to this new server. I can't see anything in the IBM documentation on how to do this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

thanks in advance

Contact your IBM support, i.e. to open a PMR, to get the "Relocating Repository" instruction. Don't remember the .jar file name that you need to modify.

See it you can track down a Powerpoint presentation called Xmeta Repository 8.5 non-cluster V2
It is associated with PMR 27361,102,616 so you may be able to obtain it through IBM support.
