Export the jobs you wish to break into a project into a dsx file and import them into a new project. You can then either delete those from the existing project (leaving the others), or export the others and import into a second project and then delete the original project.

You should be able to include dependent items when you export and also select any and all items you wish to include except for environment variables. You will have to add those manually to the new projects in 7x.

I don't recall what query options you have available in 7x and don't have access to a 7x environment to research. Check your documentation and/or the tools themselves to see what is available.
