Unable to connect to Datastage server using Client tools

Post by muralisankarr »

Dear All,

I have installed Datastage 8.7 in Solaris platform. During installation Service tier and Engine Tier is installed in one host and metadata repository is pointed to other host and its oracle. Installation is successful and I am able to connect to admin console "protocol://host:port/ibm/iis/console" successfully.

But I am unable to connect to datastage client using port 9080.

It is stating the error :Error message: Failed to connect to Information Server Engine: Hostname, project: dstage1 (The connection has timed out (81015))".

Can anyone please kindly help me to resolve this connection issue. I am using dsadm user and port 9080 to connect datastage client.

Os Version: Solaris 10
DB: Oracle
Client: Windows XP

If the client and server can communicate over http(s) but your clients aren't connecting then the first difference to note is the port used.

Can you confirm this port isn't being blocked by a firewall rule?
