Are you using the Multi-Client Manager to switch between the two? You can have them both installed but only one can be active at any given time, hence the need to switch using MCM.

Are both your clients installed on a supported operation system?

Do you have any other clients working without error?

Have you contacted support about it? What do they tell you?

Siva,

If you have time, you can try this.

1. Uninstall both clients from your machine.
2. Restart the machine
3. Install 7.5 first and then 8.5. (if needed another restart)
4. Try connecting ;)

That's an important piece of information. What operating system are you installing this on?

Well, there you go. Stop trying, it's not a supported operating system.

Certain versions of 8.x are supported on some editions of Windows 7 (not home editions)... we are using that combination on some PCs.

Windows 7 would not supported be by DataStage 7.x as it didn't exist back then and would not have been tested...

Go to the IBM web site once again and check system requirements.
