How many sites out there are using CITRIX to access your Datastage clients?

Two I've worked at recently.
In one I was working in Tokyo and the clients were in Switzerland.
In the other I was working in Brisbane (Australia) and the clients were in Perth (Australia).
I am aware of others.

We used it back in the day at one of my clients. They had support folks across the country using CITRIX to access our local server plus an "off-shore" contingent.

I've been at two In Melbourne Australia, Current gig with 8.5 and an older one with ... .Version 4.

Can be slow, but it does work. Not as good as a locally based client, but that doesn't always work and not everyone is on big corporaste WAN's

;-) Is this an "tool/software evaluation" question?

I used it in couple of places in US. Most of the projects when outsourced, the offshore team use Citrix for many reasons.

Having some issues with datastage client tools on Citrix. IBM Support has
stated that they don't support Director/Designer clients running on Citrix.

We have not had any problems with 8.1 clients on the system, but 8.5 clients are producing multiple core dumps on the Citrix systems filling up our disk space.

I was wondering how many big companies are using a Citrix deployment for the datastage clients.

Thanks,

To my knowledge, Citrix has never been a supported environment for running DataStage clients. Despite that, I have seen a lot of companies use Citrix for DS clients anyway.

Basically, its allowed but not fully supported. You have to reproduce the problem on a non-citrix environment. However with the number of large sites requiring this type of functionality, it really needs to be fully supported.

For the record, we were using it for the 7.x release and didn't have any issues with it.
