Datastage Installation Problem

Hi ..

I am new to datastage topic,
I am basicall Sysadmin on Linux flavour. I am downloading the sof from edelivery.oracle.com
trying to install on mymachine
[root@prc-ebebizs1 ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.6 (Tikanga)

I found IBM docs is not that user frinedly and not able to understand...

Can any one give me the complete steps or docs installing Datastage which includes WAS installation as well.

I installed it using the Installation Guide which comes with the product when I was quite new to the product.

Just follow the steps, the installation is quite self explainatory.

Go to ibm.com and search on the Information Center for Information Server. Read the Quick Start Guide, system requirements, release notes, and Installation, Planning, and Configuration Guide. Basically then you make sure unix/linux settings are correct first then run the setup installer program.
