Hi,
We are planning to install 8.5 in Unix environmemt.
I gone through this link

for prerequiste check. in this the list of port numbers are not mentioned.
so,please provide the list of port numbers(if possible description of that port neccessity) to be enable before going to start installation process.

Read your Planning, Installation, and Configuration Guide pdf, they're all listed there as well as everything else you'll need to know.

You could also start here if you don't actually have 8.5 in hand yet.

could you please explain me on bellow while installing the DS 8.5 in solaris ....

1)why we need to enable the bellow port for example (31539,9060,9043,2809,9100,9401,9402,9403,9080,16581)
2)if we have a nessary to open a port mean,how we have to define the source and destination of the port
