1)if I add any new values in parameter set its not getting reflected in the job until I close and open the designer again

2) folder objects cannot be moved in designer .only jobs can be moved

Those things ever fixed in8.5 or 8.7?

Thanks

I'm unable to move folders in 8.5; haven't tried in 8.7 yet.

If it's a large structure of subfolders to move, I usually export it to a DSX file, do a find/replace within the file, then import it. Surely there's a better way...

It's not like that is new or broken behaviour, I don't recall ever being able to move folders. :?

As noted, you either need to play editing games with an export or pre-create the target directory(s) and drag the entire contents of the original folder over to the new folder. For multiple folders... lather, rinse, repeat.

I just tried moving folders in Designer 8.7 and it is still not possible.

As a side note however, it is nice to finally be able to view the job log within Designer 8.7 (under View menu or press Ctrl+L). I heard this feature was actually added in 8.5 fix pack 1.

The moving folders option should be included in future release.
I thought they will include in 8.7 . But that didn't happen.

They can't read your mind. You would have to log it with IBM as an enhancement request. Or else find out from IBM if they already have an enhancement request logged, then it should have an APAR number you can track.

I can confirm this is in 8.5 fp1. Pretty sweet to run a job and see the log without opening director.
