Datastage Engine Migration to another server

we have a client/server topology. The server where engine resided is going to be released shortly as the lease is getting over. Now we have been given a new box where the engine will reside going forward.

Is it fine if we just take a image of current system and put it on new system or do we require to install datastage on new system?

No. IP and hostname will be same after the swap

Ensure that all of the Kernel settings are identical, that Storage is copied over (same storage device would be preferred). Don't forget the hidden file in /.dshome

I'm assuming you'd be OK going that route, maintaining the same hostname and IP address.
