Per IBM documentation, Infosphere information server manager is the tool to be used to migrate 'assets' in Datastage and Qualitystage in IS 8.5

Is it possible to use Rational Clearcase for versionining either in conjunction with information server manager(ISM) OR directly without ISM?

Could you share your experience using Clearcase for managing version control of DS/QS components?

Thanks
Barry

As of version 8.5 the Manager and Clearcase talk together - you just need to configure your Manager to connect to and use your Clearcase server. This will give you some basic check in and rollback functions for building releases. You will see ClearCase commands on the right mouse click menu of Information Server Manager.

With ISM yes (as Vincent advised), without ISM no (unless you want a "do it yourself" approach exporting components and using the export files as the "source code" that is managed by ClearCase).
