Hi,

We have successfully completed the installation of Datastage v8.5. We are able to log on to web console with wasadmin and isadmin users. However we are getting the following error while logging on to the client components.

"Failed to connect to Information Server Engine: ,project:dstage1. [Username and/or password incorrect. If credential mapping is used, check the credential mapped user name and password are correctly configured(80011)]"

Can anyone help us to identify the problem?

Thanks,
Rashmi

Welcome aboard.

Have you configured Engine credentials?

Web Console Configuration after Installation:

Open the Information Server Web Console at
http://***.com:9080/ibm/iis/console

1. Add dsadm as administrator and give all accesses to this user.
2. Share the server credentials

Thanks for your response. I have created the dsadm user. However we getting the same error. what do you mean by "Share the server credentials"?

FYI - We have configured Engine Credentials as well.

Thanks,
Rashmi

Try this : In the Information server console go to Administration ->Domain Management ->Datastage Credentials. Select your server and click on Open configuration. You will get a "Share User Registry between IBM Information Server and Datastage Server" check that box.

Do let us know if it works

Hi,

We did share the user registry. Howerver it is still throwing the same error. What could be the reason?

Thanks,
Rashmi

Hello

I've got this same problem only that:
Ray - How do I exactly configure Engine Credentials? What should be done exactly in the Engine Credentials configuration menu?

Also I do not see Datastage Credentials anywhere.
Unde Administration ->Domain Management I only have Engine Credentials & User Registry Configuration
