8.5 - 7.5 = 1.0

From the developer's perspective it's not much changed, apart from a heap of new toys.

From the administrator's perspective it's a whole new ball game; a totally different, service-oriented architecture.

You'll find plenty of information on the IBM website.

:!: It is very poor netiquette to 'steal' other people's work and post it in its entirety, even worse to do it with no reference as to the source / original author. Luckily, it was easy to recognize a blog post from our friend Vincent. Next time, simply post the URL.

1. in 8.5 transformer options llike (do- while) available in looping structure but not available in 7.5
2.in 7.5 can set the single parameter using environment variable but parameter set options are available in ds8.5 and patameter set means collection of variables
3.in 7.5 quality stage has seperate designer .in 8.5
quality stage is integrated in designer.
4.in 7.5 we dont have range lookup. in8.5 we have
range lookup.
5. in 7.5 a single join stage can't support multiple
references. in 8.5 a single join stage can support
multiple references.
6.in 7.5 , when a developer opens a particular job, and
another developer wants to open the same job , that job
can't be opend. in 8.5. it can be possible when a developer
opens a particular job and another cdeveloper wants to open
the same job then it can be opend as read only job.

5. I'm fairly sure that the Join stage has always supported multiple (more than two) inputs.
