Migration Of Metadata Server to different Box

Currently we have a two tier architecture with DS Engine on one machine A and metadata repository + WAS(Web Application Server) on another machine B.

The user authentication is done thru machine B and jobs run on machine A

The customer is planning to migrate machine B to another server with a different IP.

What are the steps required to be followed for the same? How to point the Engine to access the new metadata server machine?

One possibility could be -

(1) Un-Register engine tier first. Follow thie below link

Note : Make sure to take back up of all DS projects and important configuration files before doing this.

(2) After moving the machine B to another server, register the engine tier again.

Is the Un-Register to be performed on Engine Machine or MetaData Machine?

It has to be done on services tier.
